All destinations are a short 30min boat ride from Lucinda, and your snorkelling in some of the healthiest coral reefs on Queensland's Coral coast.. Orpheus has some 340 of the 350 species of hard coral and one of the regions largest collections of soft corals. It is also home to the Research station which has a dedicated team of staff and marine bioligists.
Orpheus is also home to the extraordinary large 'Porites coral', named "Muga dhambi", which is the widest and one of the oldest coral documented on the Great Barrier Reef. Measuring over a staggering 10m x 5m,
Whale Watching Tours from July to September, Orpheus Island / The Palm Islands is a hotspot for Humpback whales during their migration season. The islands provide safe calm protected waters for mums, with calves / newborns. We often see groups of many curious bulls together, putting on big shows with lots of blow holes, breaching and whale slapping fun.

North Queensland Island Charters
Is a small family business whose owners Locky and Camille have created from a passion of living life on the water.
Locky and Camille have been sailing and exploring tropical islands for last 15 years and have lived aboard there 40ft sailing trimaran.
Camille has been a high school science teacher for over 20 years and Locky has been a commercial skipper in the marine tourism for over 25 years and together they have found complete paradise, with beautiful coral reefs islands with sandy beaches, many wateralls for swimming and huge numbers of humpback whales in during winter.

Boat travelling and snorkelling activities involve risk. Whilst we take every care and precaution to safeguard passengers we are not responsible for any damage to personal equipment, personal injury or loss.
All departures are subject to wind, tides, weather, passenger numbers and any unforeseen circumstances relating to vessel operations..
